Details

The BYU Cougars football program made a name for itself as a member of the Western Athletic Conference, then had some successful years in the Mountain West Conference before becoming independent in 2011. With the ever-changing college football landscape and realignment occurring across the country, BYU announced in 2021 that it would be joining the Big 12 Conference across all sports starting in the 2023-24 school year. The Big 12 has a rich football history, including three national champions since its 1996 inception, and was a perfect opportunity for BYU to elevate its program. In order to hit the ground running in year one, the Cougars signed transfer quarterback Kedon Slovis. The Scottsdale, Arizona native brought in Power 5 experience after stints with the USC Trojans in the PAC-12 and the Pittsburgh Panthers in the ACC. Slovis’ track record of success and veteran leadership provided what BYU needed to usher in a new era in the Big 12. The senior quarterback responded by throwing over 1,000 yards in his first five conference games, helping lead to wins over Cincinnati and Texas Tech.

This Nike replica BYU football is autographed by Kedon Slovis. Slovis’ signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
