Details
Drafted first overall by the New York Rangers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft Alexis Lafrenière made his first career playoff appearance just two years later in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Rangers would face the Penguins in the First Round as favorites and would jump out to a 2-1 series lead. Facing a hostile Pittsburgh crowd in Game 4 Alexis Lafrenière would get to work right away taking an assist from teammate Braden Schneider and flipping it past Penguins goaltender Louis Domingue just 2:06 into the first period to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead, it would be Lafrenière’s first playoff goal. With Lafrenière’s help the Rangers would go on to defeat the Penguins in seven games 4-3, Lafrenière would finish the postseason with 9 points.
This image is autographed by Alexis Lafrenière. Lafrenière’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck Authenticated representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
