In 1926 the New York Rangers were born, and with them came the traditional blue, white and red jerseys. While there have been slight changes to the uniforms over the Rangers’ almost 100-year history (darkening of the Ranger blue, addition of a Statue of Liberty alternate jersey) the basic design of the traditional Ranger uniform with the red Rangers running diagonally across the front against a solid dark blue background has remained fairly consistent. The uniforms and style have become synonymous with the iconic Yankee pinstripes and Laker purple and gold. In their 97-year history the Rangers have compiled a total of 4 Stanley Cups, 2 Conference Championships, and 7 Division Championships. Having not won a Stanley Cup since the 1993-94 season the Rangers selected Alexis Lafrenière with the first overall pick of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Just a year after his draft Lafrenière helped the Rangers to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2015.
