Details
On October 6, 2020 Alexis Lafrenière was chosen by the New York Rangers as the first overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Lafrenière would make his playoff debut during the 2022 NHL Playoffs when the Rangers would secure the 2nd seed and play the 3rd seeded Pittsburgh Penguins. On May 7, 2022, just 2:06 into Game 4 Lafrenière would take a pass from Defenseman Braden Schneider and fire a dart past Penguins goalie Louis Domingue to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead. The goal was not only significant because it was a playoff goal to give the Rangers an early lead in a series they trailed but also because it was Lafrenière’s first playoff goal. At just 20 years and 208 days old, Lafrenière became the youngest Ranger with a playoff point since Steven Rice in 1991.
This authentic New York Rangers white Adidas jersey is autographed and inscribed “1ST playoff goal 5/7/22” by Alexis Lafrenière. Lafrenière’s signature and inscription were witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process. This item is limited to 50.
