Details
Entering the NHL as the first Quebec-born player to be selected number one overall in the NHL Draft since Marc-Andre Fleury in 2003, Alexis Lafrenière’s dazzling play on the ice represents not only his own personal hard work and dedication but also the entire hockey community and culture in which he was born and raised. At just 18 years old, Lafrenière set the IIHF world on fire by leading Team Canada to a gold medal in the 2020 Ice Hockey World Junior Championship while on his way to recording ten points in five games, earning him MVP honors. Knowing that jumping to the NHL would present the biggest challenge of his career, Lafrenière remained confident in his talent and work ethic and scored his first goal with the New York Rangers just two weeks into his rookie season against the Buffalo Sabres and did not stop there as he finished the year with 12 goals and 21 total points including an impressive streak that began in late February in which he recorded five points in a four game stretch.
This p-velvet archival paper is autographed by Alexis Lafrenière. Lafrenière’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process. This item is not limited.
