But Bobby Orr wasn’t your typical defenseman. In fact, it wasn’t that the Boston Bruins Hall of Famer wasn’t typical, it was that he was in fact a game-changer. The offensive prowess and overall mastery of the ice made him one of the best all-around skaters in the history of hockey. Despite his position, Orr twice led the league in points (1969-70, 1974-75) and finished in the top 10 in the league in that category six times in 12 seasons.
