Brayden Yager Autographed Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey Puck

“The future is bright in Pittsburgh” was the title gracing the Pittsburgh Penguins official X (Twitter) page on September 24, 2023. The post was referring to Brayden Yager and contained a video of Yager during a preseason split squad game and a quote from assistant coach Mike Vellucci. The Penguins think very highly of Yager, by drafting him with the 14th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft the team made Yager their highest draft pick since 2012. During the first few days of training camp before the 2023-2024 season Yager was intentionally put on the same team as Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang, a chance for him to learn from the best the organization has to offer. While Yager won’t start with the Penguins in the season immediately following his draft the Penguins will be looking for him to fill some big expectations in the years to come.
