Drafted 3rd overall by the Moose Jaw Warriors in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft Brayden Yager wasted no time making himself known in hockey. In his first full season with the Warriors Yager would notch 34 goals and 59 points as a rookie as he would take home the CHL Rookie of the Year Award. The following season Yager would put up 28 goals and 78 points in leading the Warriors to their second consecutive playoff appearance. Again, Yager would take home some hardware as he would be named the recipient of the Brad Hornung Memorial Trophy as the WHL’s Most Sportsmanlike Player for the 2022-23 season becoming only the fourth player in Moose Jaw Warriors’ history to win the award.
