Connor McDavid Autographed 22-23 “Flying Oil Drop” Adidas Reverse Retro Edmonton Oilers Jersey

When the Edmonton Oilers revealed their Reverse Retro jerseys for the 2022-2023 season it featured a new look and a style completely different from their traditional look. The “Flying Oil Drop” against the dark navy-blue background, a complete departure from the traditional royal blue and orange, actually debuted as an Oilers alternate uniform design during the 2001-2002 season. The original jersey, designed by then part owner Todd McFarlane and creative partner Brent Ashe, was massively popular as it would sell out at stores all around Edmonton. A poll taken after the release of the 2001 “Flying Oil Drop” jerseys asked more than 1,200 Oilers fans what their favorite jersey was, the 1980s style blue and orange took the top spot but the “Flying Oil Drop” jerseys took second place. Oilers fans were treated to seeing their captain Connor McDavid play in these revitalized jerseys for five home dates during the 2022-23 season.
