The only thing better than watching the NHL’s creative style aspects put to work on their jerseys is watching the best player in the NHL play in them. Prior to the 2020-2021 season the NHL unveiled their “Reverse Retro” styles for all 31 teams, the Oilers jerseys featured an orange on white throwback paying homage to the design the team wore during the 1979-1980 season, with an orange touch. It was no coincidence the Oilers decided to go back to The Great One’s first season with the team for inspiration, now fans could watch today’s best hockey player in the style of when Gretzky played.  

These reverse retro jerseys were only worn for three games during the 2020-2021 season which increased even more so the rarity of them.  McDavid was true to form in these uniforms and played up to his high standards notching 4 goals and 2 assists in the three games played in these stylish throwbacks. This image is autographed by Connor McDavid.
