Joe Sakic Autographed Colorado Avalanche Rubber Hockey Puck

Without Joe Sakic, the perception of the Colorado Avalanche may be completely different. When the center from Burnaby, British Columbia first joined the Quebec Nordiques they were rebuilding and not set up for much success. In 1992-93 he was named team captain and led the team to the playoffs as the future began to trend upward. Sakic and the franchise really turned a corner in 1995-96, the same season they moved to Denver to become the Colorado Avalanche. They won their first Stanley Cup that year, and the captain kept them as consistent winners before leading them to a second one in 2001. With Sakic, the Avalanche was a respected team right from the gate and remained relevant his whole career. After retiring, the Hall of Famer returned to Colorado’s front office and started bringing back the team’s winning ways not long after officially being named general manager. In 2022, under Sakic’s leadership, the Avalanche hoisted yet another Stanley Cup to bring their franchise total to three. Joe Sakic has made a big impact for Colorado both on and off the ice and will forever have an important legacy.
