Joe Sakic Autographed and Inscribed Hockey Hall of Fame Plaque

Born in Burnaby, British Columbia, Joe Sakic lived out the dream that many kids in Canada share. He attended his first NHL game when he was four years old, and from then on, he had aspirations to play in the NHL himself. After being a standout in high school, Sakic went on to play in the WHL, where in his two seasons he won Rookie of the Year and MVP, respectively. This performance landed him in the first round of the 1987 NHL Draft, where the Quebec Nordiques selected him 15th overall. Everything after that is history. Sakic immediately established himself as one of the best players in the NHL year after year with the Nordiques before boosting his legacy even more with the Colorado Avalanche. When it was all said and done, he ended up as one of the best to play the game, with the career resume to back it up. Sakic only had to wait the minimum of three years after retirement to be enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012.
