Sundin would play the next 13 years with the Maple Leafs, his 420 goals and 987 points were the most by a Maple Leaf at the time of his retirement. Sundin’s best season with the Maple Leafs came during the 1998-99 season, while his 83 points in the regular season were 11 points less than his season high of 94 (achieved during the 1996-97 season), he would post a career-playoff-high 16 points in 17 playoff games in helping the Maple Leafs to the Eastern Conference Finals.
