Born in St. Albert, Canada, Matt Savoie enters the 2024-25 NHL season as one of the NHL’s top prospects. Despite not having hardly any ice time in the NHL yet Savoie has already drawn comparisons to Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon because of his skating ability and his competitive, hard nosed style of play. Savoie has spent most of his young hockey career playing in the WHL but has also spent some time in 2023 playing in the AHL with the Sabres’ AHL affiliate the Rochester Americans.
