Matt Savoie Autographed Buffalo Sabres Hockey Puck

While he wasn’t expected to get drafted first overall, Matt Savoie entered the 2022 NHL Draft as one of the highest rated prospects. After a season in the WHL with the Winnipeg Ice where he led all rookies with 90 points in 65 games, Savoie would get drafted ninth overall by the Buffalo Sabres and sign a three-year, entry-level contract on July 16, 2022. While Savoie spent most of his 2023-2024 season tuning his skills in the WHL with the Wenatchee Wild and Moose Jaw Warriors he did make his NHL debut with the Sabres on November 10, 2023. Playing with the Wenatchee Wild and Moose Jaw Warriors in 2023-24 Savoie would score 71 total points including 24 points with the Warriors in the playoffs in leading Moose Jaw to their first WHL championship.
