As Matt Savoie prepares to begin his NHL career it’s worth noting his Canadian accomplishments.  Indeed, Savoie has spent time playing for the Western Canada Selects U13 team, U15 team, Team Canada’s U16 team at the Youth Olympic Games, and Team Canada’s Under-17 White Team in the World Hockey Challenge. In 2020 Savoie tied atop the team with 6 points in the 6 games played for the U17 White Team at the World Hockey Challenge.  Most recently in March of 2022, the Canadian exhibited why he is one of Canada’s most prized hockey prospects showcasing his speed by finishing first out of 36 CHL skaters in four of the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game On-Ice Testing drills including: 30m Forward with Puck, Weave Agility With Puck, Transition Agility, and Reaction With Puck drills.
