As Michael Misa’s young hockey career develops the accolades continue to pile up. Already, the 16-year-old has amassed quite a few accomplishments. Drafted first overall in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection and granted exceptional status for just the sixth time in OHL history, Misa’s first season in the OHL with the Spirit saw him tally 56 points in 45 games, good for a tie atop the team lead in points en route to winning OHL Rookie of the Year all while missing 6 weeks due to injury. On the international stage Misa would score 8 points in 5 games at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in helping Team Canada win the gold medal. Projected to be a first overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft Misa will continue to excel in the OHL for the Spirit while all eyes will be on him to see what he does next.
