When asked to describe Michael Misa as a player Saginaw Spirit General Manager described Misa as “a smart player with high-end hockey IQ. He’s quick, fast, and powerful. Michael makes people around him better, he’s an all-round exceptional talent.” At 16 years old Misa measures in at 5’11” and 162 lbs. and while he is expected to add the weight and muscle needed to compete at the highest level of hockey in the years to come he is already making himself known in the hockey world. Playing with his U-16 team the Mississauga Senators Misa would score 20 points in the seven game U-16 OHL Cup in 2022 breaking Connor McDavid’s 19-point OHL Cup record. In his first season with the Spirit Misa would tally 56 points in 45 games, tying for the team lead in points despite missing 6 weeks due to a fractured tibia. Misa would win the Emms Family Award as OHL rookie of the year in 2023.
