On November 3, 2022 Michael Misa made his international hockey debut playing for Team Canada at the 2022 World U17 Hockey Challenge. With the game tied at 1 Misa would score with 16:32 to go in the second period to give Team Canada Red a 2-1 lead over Team Canada Black. That would be Misa’s only point of the game as his squad would eventually fall 4-3 but the strong showing gave Canadians a glimpse of what’s to come for Team Canada. In the tournament Misa would finish with 6 points through 7 games (3 goals and 3 assists) as Team Canada Red would finish with a silver medal in the tournament. At just 15 years old the number 1 overall pick by the Saginaw Spirit in the OHL Priority Selection is hungry for a gold medal and figures to bring home many for years to come.
