After being drafted 13^th overall by the Las Vegas Golden Knights then traded to the Montreal Canadiens, Nick Suzuki made it his mission to never have his play on ice be questioned again as he came in to his rookie season fully equipped with the skillset and motivation necessary to elevate him towards becoming the next great young star in this league. While facing many of the typical struggles that first year players experience, Suzuki remained poised and confident in his game, knowing that his opportunity would be coming soon. On October 17, 2019, the Habs’ stellar phenom struck pay dirt in just the seventh game of his rookie season, knocking in a clutch backhand goal in the first period to give the Canadiens a 3-0 lead over the Minnesota Wild.
