Nick Suzuki has done an amazing job filling in the captain spot in Montreal. Whether he is firing off shots on goal or assisting teammates with his elite passes, he is always trying to put this franchise in the best spot to win. Suzuki’s first multi-goal game as captain came against the very team that drafted him. On November 5th, 2022, the Canadiens were squaring off at home against the Vegas Golden Knights. Looking to win their seventh game in a row, the Golden Knights jumped to an early 1-0 lead. Chasing a goal in the third period, Suzuki found the net twice but that still was not enough as the Canadiens ultimately fell to Vegas.
