Details

Jacques Plante, in 1959 was considered the first NHL goaltender to wear a mask. In 1978 the fiberglass face mask with the cage over the eyes and nose was invented. The popularity of this mask increased after Patrick Roy started wearing it in the 1985-86 season. Roy played 12 seasons with the Canadiens, winning Stanley Cups in 1986 and 1993. Roy holds the NHL's most career playoff victories for a goaltender (151).

This unique design of Patrick Roy highlights his iconic Canadiens mask and also features an action photo from the 1993 Stanley Cup run. Roy has inked his exquisite autograph on this 16"x20" designed in silver paint pen. Roy's signature was witnessed by a UDA representative and is deemed authentic under Upper Deck Authenticated's Five-Step Process.
