Details
The 2002-2003 season was one of Peter Forsberg’s best of his career. As the season progressed Forsberg would center what would be known as the highly productive “AMP Line” consisting of Alex Tanguay, Milan Hejduk, and Peter Forsberg. Forsberg would tally a total of 106 points in helping lead the Avalanche to their 9th consecutive division title. Forsberg’s 106 points led the league and earned himself the Art Ross Trophy and Hart Memorial Trophy. While this season was not Forsberg’s highest point total season (he scored 116 during the 1995-96 season) it was his most noteworthy. After missing the end of the 2001 playoffs due to injury he would make several attempts to come back during the 2001-2002 season, missing most of it due to more nagging foot injuries but still healthy enough in time to be the playoff scoring leader (27). The 2002-2003 year saw Forsberg put his injuries behind him and put it all together for one of the most memorable personal performances in Avalanche history.
This image is autographed and inscribed “106 Points” by Peter Forsberg. Forsberg’s signature and inscription were witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process. This item is limited to 21.
