Quinton Byfield Autographed “Hockey in Paradise” 24x20

When thinking about hockey cities, most people probably have cold-weather cities come to mind first. However, Los Angeles is right up there when it comes to passion for the sport. After entering the NHL as an expansion team in 1967, the Los Angeles Kings found instant success with multiple playoff appearances in their early years. Already possessing a loyal fan base, the franchise’s popularity skyrocketed after trading for Wayne Gretzky. This move created a massive culture shift and put LA on the map as a hockey city. The addition of Gretzky helped the Kings tremendously on and off the ice while also setting the table for the NHL to add two more California teams and several others in America’s Sun Belt region. Even after Gretzky’s departure, the support for the team never dwindled, especially after the city hoisted the Stanley Cup in 2012 and 2014. To continue the legacy of hockey in LA, the Kings selected Quinton Byfield with the second overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. With a bright future and a strong supporting cast, the young center is up for the task.
