Coming into the league as the number one overall pick in the 2018 OHL Draft at just 15 years old, Quinton Byfield understood the importance of his rookie season with regards to making it to the NHL. Despite always being a top prospect due to his elite size, incredible skating, and crafty stick work, Byfield made it his goal to outperform all of his competition for the entire season in order to emerge as the top young hockey player seeking to make the NHL. During his rookie campaign, Byfield exemplified great charisma and professionalism throughout his successes as he was able to take the Wolves to the conference semifinals while recording 29 goals and 32 assists for 61 points on his way to being named the 2019 CHL Rookie of the Year.
