Byfield is no stranger to finding the net as he scored 61 goals across two seasons for the Sudbury Wolves. That success would translate to the NHL as he would notch his first multi-goal game for the Kings just a few months into his rookie season. On March 22, 2022, Byfield would record three points against the Nashville Predators, his best game to date in his young career. Byfield brought the intensity as he started the game with an assist in the first period. Up 3-1 in the third period, Byfield would finish off the Predators by scoring twice and giving himself his first multi-goal game.
