In 2022, Shane Wright was selected as the fourth-overall pick of the NHL Draft by the Seattle Kraken, a franchise formed just a year earlier in 2021.  For a city that hadn’t brought home a Stanley Cup since 1917, they have turned to OHL extraordinaire Shane Wright to bring the cup back to Seattle. Wright’s time in the OHL was a special one as he was named Rookie of the Year in the 2019-2020 season for the Kingston Frontenacs. In Wright’s two seasons with the Frontenacs, he had 160 points in only 121 games. The former OHL star will look to carry his success over to the NHL with the Kraken.
