Details

The 2014 FedEx Cup Playoffs was a career-defining moment for Billy Horschel. Going into the tournament at 69th in the FedEx Cup Standings, the 27-year-old out of the University of Florida had a slow start at The Barclays, missing the cut in the first of the four playoff tournaments and dropping to 82nd. Horschel did not let that get to him, as he became virtually unstoppable in the final three tournaments. His -13 at the Deutsche Bank Championship the next weekend was good enough for a second-place tie and catapulted him up to 20th in the standings. With momentum on his side, Horschel won the BMW Championship with a -14 to set the table for the Tour Championship while sitting second in the standings. In the Tour Championship, he played well enough the first three rounds to earn a spot in the final pairing on Sunday with the then #1 ranked golfer in the world, Rory McIlroy. Horschel did not let the pressure get to him, as he shot a 68 (-2) to capture the Tour Championship victory by three strokes and secure the FedEx Cup. This playoff run was highlighted by a record 12 consecutive rounds in the 60s that was also the season-high for any golfer.

Horschel has autographed this image in black paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
