Gary Player Autographed, Inscribed, & Embroidered 2008 The Masters Tournament Pin Flag

In 2008, Gary Player etched his name in the record books for another impressive Augusta record. That year he appeared for his 51st Masters Tournament which put him at the top of the list for most all time appearances. He surpassed legend Arnold Palmer who held the record prior at 50. While Palmer’s appearances were consecutive, Player would have only one absence which came in 1973 when he was recovering from surgery. He played in his final Masters Tournament the following year in 2009. Player was sure to leave a strong legacy at Augusta with his remarkable performances. He won the tournament four times and was the first international champion. In 1978, he won his final green jacket at the age of 52 which at the time made him the oldest golfer to win the tournament.

This 2008 Masters pin flag is autographed and inscribed “51st/52nd Masters Record” by Gary Player with a black paint pen. Player’s signature and inscription were witnessed by an Upper Deck Authenticated representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process. This item is limited to 52.
