Details
Gary Player's career grand slam is a significant accomplishment in the world of golf. He won his first major championship in 1959 at the British Open. He went on to win the other three major tournaments over the next 11 years. In total, he won 9 major championships, including 3 Masters titles, 1 U.S. Open, 3 Open Championships, and 2 PGA Championships. Gary Player's career grand slam is particularly impressive because he accomplished it during a time when international travel was difficult and golf was dominated by American players. He is one of only five golfers to have won the career grand slam, along with Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods.
This image is autographed by Gary Player with a black paint pen. Player’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck Authenticated representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process. This item is limited to 65.
