Details
With quite the year that featured phenomenal performances at the PGA Championship and FedEx Cup, the most impressive week of golf in Justin Thomas’ remarkable 2017 season came at the Sony Open in Honolulu. Under the warm Hawaiian sun, JT kept up his dominating run as he delivered a record-breaking performance in becoming the youngest player to ever shoot a sub-60 round, breaking the PGA Tour records at 36 holes (123) and 72 holes (273). Through the use of his strong drives and crafty short game, Thomas was also able to tie the PGA Tour record at 54 holes (188) and coasted to an easy seven-stroke victory after shooting 27 under par.
This designed piece shows the beginning and the end of that historic weekend as he tees off on the first hole on day one and then celebrates while holding the ball that he shot a 59 with. The design also shows a replica of the record-breaking scorecard. Thomas has autographed this limited edition (50) “Setting Records” 20x24 designed image in black paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
