The 2023 Ryder Cup took place in Rome, Italy at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club. Team Europe was looking to keep their home win streak intact as they had not lost at home since 1993. This was Viktor Hovland’s second appearance in the Ryder Cup. His debut in 2020 did not go how he wanted as Team Europe got crushed in the States. Hovland and Team Europe were sure to keep their home win streak as they dominated. On the first day of the tournament, they went undefeated and did not look back. Hovland himself ended up going 3-1-1 in five matches, scoring a total of 3.5 points.
