With the ninth-overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft the Buffalo Sabres selected Matthew Savoie, of the Western Hockey League’s Winnipeg Ice. Savoie recorded 90 points including 35 goals and 55 assists, in 65 games last season. Savoie is one of the best skaters in this class with a strong and accurate shot and incredible IQ his speed and offensive instincts set up scoring chances for his teammates. Savoie has a good chance of earning a spot with the Buffalo Sabres this year.
