Details

Born in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, Canada, Alexis Lafrenière has spent his whole life performing under pressure. Before playing in the NHL Lafrenière would captain Team Canada at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and lead his team to gold despite being the second youngest player on the roster at just 16 years old. Two years later, Lafrenière would again play with Team Canada, this time in the 2020 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Despite missing two games with injury Lafrenière would post 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points in 5 games and would win tournament MVP in helping Team Canada to a gold medal. A first round draft pick in 2020, Lafrenière’s first NHL goal came as an overtime winner over the Buffalo Sabres on January 28, 2021. With the goal, Lafrenière became the youngest player in NHL history to score his first career goal in overtime (19 years, 109 days old) and the first Ranger to score his first career NHL goal in overtime since Mats Zuccarello did it on January 5, 2011.

This p-velvet archival paper is autographed by Alexis Lafrenière. Lafrenière’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
