After signing an eight year contract extension, it was a no brainer for the Montreal Canadiens to assign Nick Suzuki as captain. In his first three seasons in the NHL, Suzuki posted 143 points in 209 games. On September 12th, 2022, Suzuki officially became the captain of the Habs. He is now the youngest player to be named captain in Canadiens history. In his fourth season at the age of 23, Suzuki will look to continue his success in the NHL. After coming up short in the 2021 Stanley Cup Championship, Suzuki wants to bring a Cup back to Montreal. He is on a mission to snap a 30 year championship drought for the Canadiens.
