Our first steps, the first time we ride a bicycle, our first car, there are many unforgettable firsts we have in our lives that live with us until our final days.  For Wayne Gretzky, the first time he held up the Stanley Cup was a moment he would never forget. While the 1983-1984 season was not Wayne Gretzky’s personal best in terms of stats it was by far his most memorable with his first Stanley Cup win. Along with winning his first Stanley Cup Gretzky put up an astonishing 205 points (87 goals and 118 assists) and a mind blowing +/- rating of +78. No other player in the NHL has scored more than 200 points in a season, and the 205 single season points has been bested by Gretzky three times in his career: 1984-85 (208 points), 1981-82 (212 points), and 1985-86 (215 points).
