Details
In Wayne Gretzky’s 20 NHL seasons he would make a total of 18 All-Star game appearances. It is yet another fact about the Great One that while hard to believe is true because well, it’s Wayne Gretzky after all. In 1997 Gretzky was voted to the starting lineup for the Eastern Conference for the ninth and final time of his career. For the Western Conference Patrick Roy would be making his seventh all-star appearance of a total of eleven career all-star game appearances after being voted as the starting goalie. With Gretzky’s five Stanley Cup trophies and Roy’s four, the two combined for a total of 29 all-star games and 8 Stanley Cup titles. This dual signed image captures both of these hockey legends together on one of hockey’s biggest stages as Gretzky flips a wrist shot towards Roy at the 1997 All-Star Game in San Jose.
This image is autographed by Wayne Gretzky and Patrick Roy. Their signatures were witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
